July 2, 2014 Update: Well the US did not make it past the round of 16 but they played a great game that went into overtime. The final result was a 1-2 loss to Belgium. And as for the craft, the red, white and blue can be easily converted to celebrate the 4th of July!
I’m sure many of you already know that the U.S. will face Belgium in the Round of 16 in the World Cup this Tuesday at 4:00 PM EST. If any little World Cup fans in your house are looking for a way to cheer their team on, I have the perfect craft to celebrate the occasion: World Cup Loom Band Keychains! Go USA.!
My daughter was a busy little weaver this afternoon just so I could post these pics of her handiwork. And by the way, you can make keychains to represent lots of other countries as well. It is a great way to learn the colors of a variety of country flags around the world! I love it when two worlds, like learning and fun, collide!
The tutorial my daughter used to make her keychains can be found on this Made By Mommy youtube video.
Side Note: I joined a link up party using this craft over at A Mama’s Story.
