Have you ever heard of Small Business Saturday? It began the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2010. Since then it has been celebrated on that post Thanksgiving Saturday as an effort to promote small businesses in response to the big consumer Black Friday and Cyber Monday events. I live in a pretty rural area and I have really come to love small town businesses that build a sense of community.
